Managing European meteorological satellite programmes

Missions
  • Define the key performance indicators, tools and processes common to all programmes.. 
  • Carry out project implementation with the operational PMO in order to support the various programmes.  
  • Providing training on planning (including the design of support materials). 

The main objective of the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT) is to provide satellite data, images and related products on weather and climate. This information is transmitted to the national meteorological services of the organisation’s member and cooperating states in Europe, as well as to other users around the world. 

The mission of the Programme Preparation and Development department is to design and build operational satellite systems. 

The project :

Monitoring planning and scheduling for 6 satellite programmes from the design phase through to commissioning.
