After 70 years of progressive development in aircraft design, the aeronautics industry now needs to take a step towards a more environmentally friendly future. More than any other sector, the industry needs to be sustainable.
Since 1950, air traffic has continued to grow, popularising air travel but also increasing its environmental impact.
The entire western aeronautics industry is working to reduce the impact of aviation on the environment: Airbus’s hydrogen-powered aircraft project (ZEROe), SAFRAN’s ultra-efficient engine (RISE), alternative fuel (SAF), optimised flight paths, etc.
